Cruisin’ in the Country Bicycle Ride

The Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the 25th Annual Cruisin’ in the Country Bicycle Ride, Saturday, November 13th, 2021.

With the ever changing COVID-19 pandemic situation, plans are subject to change. However, we feel confident, following local and state directives, and adhering to safety guidelines that we can host a safe and fun cycling event. Your safety and health are our #1 priority!

Cruisin’ Headquarters has moved! This year’s event will be headquartered at the new Evans County Public Fishing Area Event Center, 4757 Area Line Road, Claxton, Georgia. This beautiful Public Fishing Area, owned and operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is a 372 acre tract near the town of Daisy that features 3 lakes, primitive camping sites, a new campground with 22 campsites complete with electricity, water, picnic table and fire ring. Schedule of Events

Friday, November 12
2:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Ride Headquarters opens for packet pick-up and on-site registration
2:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Informal/Warm-up Ride. Maps available at Registration

Saturday, November 13
7:00 am to 9:00 am – Hospitality Booth Open
7:30 am – Show & Go Start. (All cyclists are strongly encouraged to begin their route before 9:00 a.m.)
8:00 am – First Rest Stop Opens
12:00 noon until 6:00 pm – Post Ride Meal @ Cruisin’ Headquarters
5:00 pm – Last Rest Stop Closes

Be sure to visit our local restaurants and attractions while you are “Cruisin’ in the Country”. Copies of menus and information on attractions and points of interest are available for pick-up at the Hospitality Booth.
